Custom Theme: Chris Nick - Chrismatic!

CHRISMATIC

I first met Chris on a lunch meeting for the Most High Co. shoot. We’ve gotten along pretty well since then.

Recently, or not-so-recently, he asked me to redesign his blog. I think Chris’ style is very different from most bloggers I follow — maybe because I mostly follow food blogs. The only style blogs I perpetually follow are those of Kryz Uy, Camille Co, Tricia Gosingtian and Dominique Tiu.

I would define Chris’ style as classy. Whether he’s wearing a tribal cardigan, a denim button down, or even just a plain white top — he always has a way of keeping it classy. It doesn’t hurt that he looks really good as well.

If you’re looking for a new men’s style blog to follow, couple with a few food and travel posts, check out Chrismatic! www.itschrisnick.com

Custom Theme: Ira Giorgetti

Custom Theme for Ira Giorgetti

Ira asked me last month to work on his blog again, a whole new layout with lots more features. I made his previous theme which I never got to write about.

This theme still uses the same color scheme as the previous one, but this time it’s mobile-responsive and has a lot more stuff on the sidebars. The coolest thing about this layout is the left sidebar! It stays in place once you scroll past the header. It took me quite a while to figure out how to do it. At one point, I was already about to scrap the idea but I’m glad I didn’t give up on it.

It took a lot of e-mails to finish, and we had a bit of trouble with redirecting the URL, but it’s all fixed now!

I’m sure almost all of you already know Ira and are already following him. But in case you’re not, check out his blog. If you like travel and fashion, coupled with great photography, his blog is worth checking out.

A few days ago, Andie asked me a few questions about fixing her Tumblr layout. I gave her basic instructions, but she ended up commissioning me instead to make a custom layout for her. According to Andie – “my brain has limited patience with CSS and themes.”
She gave me a blog URL that served as the inspiration for this, plus a few key points. The good thing about the blog inspiration was its minimalist concept. That’s something I like to work with. She had the freedom to choose the fonts as well. I normally don’t deviate from my usual Helvetica or Lucida Grande fonts, but I think it worked well with this one.
The best thing about this layout is that it’s completely responsive! Although, I think she has turned on the option to “Optimize layout on mobile devices,” so you won’t be able to fully enjoy it on smaller screens.
If you’re into music and fashion, you should definitely check out her blog.
P.S. If you would like to commission me for a custom theme, drop me an e-mail at moniquetendencia@gmail.com. Prices start at Php 750 for one-column layouts, Php 1,000 for two-column layouts, and Php 1,750 for three-columns and up. Custom headers and widgets have added costs.
P.P.S. I will be going home to the province for 2 weeks, so replies to your e-mails will be sent out by then.
